Celebrating Joy!!

Last Saturday a friend of mine got married
She's been a friend since primary school..so it was quite a joy to share her happiness.
The night was beautiful and the wedding celebration was very intimate attended only by family members and close friends. Quite nice actually..

Pusing-pusing

Sejak aku tahu aku 'berisi' kata orang..
Aku paling takut kalau sakit kepala..
sebab tidak mungkin nak makan sebarang ubat kan..
tidak boleh lagi nak makan Activefast yang menjadi ubat mujarab sakit kepala ku..

Semalam aku sakit kepala..sampai muntah..
Pastu aku tidur ajer lah.. apa lagi nak dibuat..

Life goes on

Waaahhh it has been nearly a month since my last post eh?..
oh well .. there are so many things going on in my life.. so I've drained all the energy mentally and physically adjusting to it. huhu

1. I always being ask" how's married life ?" epecially from those who i didn't see for quite a while..and as always I would reply " It was a learning process everyday."

2. I just past the first trimester and appetite is getting better. praise to Allah.

3. Hari Raya was fun although I felt tired all the time but I tried not to let it hinder me from having the fun.

4. I only fast for a few day during Ramadhan but was quite grateful that at least i manage to fast..

5. Work is as usual and I am very fortunate to have a very understanding boss. She even took the trouble to do some of my cases. Thanks boss!

6. I just came back from PAC (PTD Assessment Centre). It was not for recruiting new officers but this time to assess us for promotion consideration. Exhausted esp mentally plus I have a flu plus the occasional nausea. A lot of analysing, discussing and talking. It ended with an interview which I don't think I did that well. But as my husband said " Rezeki di tangan tuhan.. bukan mereka," when I broke down feeling unstable and really tired after one of the session. Lucky he was there too.

weekend getaway - SABAH

Day 2

The next morning after breakfast, Abang cc fetches us to go to Kundasang as we planned at about 11.30am. The winding roads up the hills made me dizzy and to make it worst, I just had my big breakfast. Woohoo.. I couldn’t help it that I threw up at two incidents on the way up. Abang cc suggested that we open up the window since we were already up on the hill so I could have some cool fresh air.. hahahaha…(malu I) But it was indeed a good idea.. I felt wonderful as the cool breeze touched my face in addition to a splendid view of Sabah hillside, the green valleys with lush vegetation. Priceless! There are many wooden huts along the roadside for the locals to sell their product mostly freshly picked vegetables.

We arrived at the Poring Hot Spring in Ranau at about 2 pm. There are pools of warm water supplied from the hot spring for tourist conveniences. And it is quite impressive that there are even chalets with private pool for those who wish to still have a dip in the hot spring pool but need some privacy. I like!

On the way back we went to Kinabalu Park. Not to climb the mountain of course but to at least catch the glimpse of the peak. Pity us it was so cloudy and foggy and we waited and waited but the clouds doesn’t seem to go away. Hmmm. Better luck next time maybe.

Thank god that I didn’t throw up at all on the way down. We made a quick stop at one of the wooden hut by the road where Abang cc bought jagung pulut meanwhile we bought some local rice. Saje nak try

Later in the evening, we had a scrumptious seafood platter at Gayang Seafood Restaurant for dinner. Gila best. All the fishes, crabs, lobsters, prawns, and shells or were still very much alive in aquariums. We just choose what we like, and how we like them to be cooked. There are this lobster so big that it tentacles or misai was like 13 cm long kot.

I ate like nobody business since this was one of my goals coming here which was to indulge me with fresh seafood. Burrpp!!. The ABC here was also very delicious and cheap. Tak kedekut susu dan sirap. We had to tapau some of the food since there are too much of it and there are only 4 of us. We had so much fun… cc had a lot of story to share with us. And we also had a good laugh. I also realized that cc always said “The meeting now adjourn” whenever we parted. How big the influences of work had done to her. Hahaha.

Day 3

On Sunday morning, radin arrived at the lobby sharp at 9. Huhu.. kalau dah askar tuh askar jugak.. On time gitu. Hahaha. My hubby and I woke up a bit later since we slept with a full stomach last night. Hahahaha .Marah Leftenant kita.

Anyway, we went to Keningau Restaurant for breakfast. Ingatkan radin nak bawak pi keningau betul, rupanya restoran jer..keh keh.. Finished eating, we went to visit Wahid at the staff quarters in Polytechnics KK.She just gave birth to her second child, Mariam about 20 days ago.

You know what, radin haven’t met wahid since 1994 and it was like 15 years ago. Kui kui..tak padan duk dekat. We had a good laugh catching up. I dunno whether wahid was just having some mummy blues or it was just her. She was so funny which is much different of her ustazah like image 15 years ago. Hehehe

After that, Radin brought me and my hubby into the Navy base in Teluk Sipanggar where she works. She lives in the base too. Pity us, the Submarine that Malaysia bought haven’t arrived yet, but there are a few other naval ships. So oklah not many people have the privileged getting a guided tour in a navy base right?.. I forgot to ask radin to arranged for lunch on one of the ship ( dia cakap kalau cakap awal boleh arrange, menyesal gue) so we went to have lunch at mess. My husband and I mingled around with a few other navy officers happened to be having lunch there too. I thought it was Sunday. Haha. Not everybody went out on Sundays is it?

After that, radin sent us back to the hotel as we need to check out. CC n her husband would send us to the airport. On the way there, we did a quick shopping at the Filipino Market.

After checking in our luggage, I just realized that I didn’t have the immigration slip with me.. Jeng.. cuak seposen. We gambled our way to the immigration counter. The officer asked for the slip.

Hubby: aa.. dia misplaced slip tu ,cemana yer?
Immigration officer: Ni first time datang sabah ker?
Silence.
Imm: Hari ni hari minggu. Kalu hilang slip tuh kena report polis tapi takpelah. Lainkali ingat simpan bebaik slip tuh..

Padan muka aku kena lecture.. hahahaha.. nasib baik officer tuh hensem.. keh keh..

The flight was delayed for an hour so we finally arrived at LCCT at 8 30 pm and was home at 9.30pm.

weekend getaway -SABAH

We have been planning for this getaway since May as many people keep asking about our honeymoon. My hubby said this would be our pre-honeymoon. We were committed to work and taking a leave would mean double work after. Nonetheless, we still very much enjoyed ourselves during this so called pre honeymoon. Hehe

Day 1

Our journey started as early as 10.30 am flight from LCCT. One of my staff agreed to send us to the airport so that he could drive our car back and parked it at the office.

We arrived early at the airport so I took that opportunity to text farah and asked whether we could meet up at McDonald. She’s an Airasia employee; of course she has right of entry everywhere around LCCT and her working hours start at 9 am. Oh, I am jealous!! She said it is ok not wearing mask at the airport since it is an open space but advised us to wear it on the plane, especially if we heard someone sneezing or coughing.

Arriving at Terminal 2 Kota Kinabalu, one of MyHubby’s staff, CC who is working at ILP KK has been waiting for us. CC is a very friendly lady. We went lunch at Sutera Bayu restaurant. I have already eaten on the plane so I only ate roti canai.

CC had to get back to work so she dropped us at the Novotel hotel. It was located at a new development area near Universiti Malaysia Sabah called Alamesra. There were a few hotels and a big mall called 1Borneo in the same building as Novotel. Among the hotels there is Tune hotel. It is further mile from Filipino market (where the usual hotels I normally lodged in when I was in Sabah for work)... I managed to save some money since the Filipino market was far away... clever husband... Now I knew why u booked that hotel: p

After freshen up we leisurely walk to the attached Mall next door. Very much like any other mall. Haha. We decided to have an early dinner. We found an Indian Muslim Restaurant with attractive menus. We were hungry so I ordered Fish Bryani while dear hubby ordered Chicken Bryani and both of us have Madras Tea with milk ( Teh tarik Madras).


We thought we need to exercise a bit after such a heavy meal so we went for a stroll along rows of shop adjacent to the mall and found a thai massage parlor. We decided to give a try since we were quite tired of the journey this morning. I took the full body thai massage while hubby took thai aromatherapy. I was half asleep as it was so relaxing. Back at the hotel, I hit the sack right away while hubby (still very much thinking bout work) went down to the lobby again to check some emails. There was an internet corner at the lobby.

Over the Moon

I took this picture in front of our house on our way in after a hectic day at work. I found the moon incredibly big and bright. We could even see the shadow in shape of a rabbit on the moon. I am not sure whether the moon has always been this bright, or it is just us busy occupying ourselves with something else that we didn't seems to notice it before.
